Made from smokeless fire, Djinn are capable of changing shape at will.연기가 없는 불로부터 만들어진 Djinn은 마음대로 형태를 바꿀 수 있다.The majority of Djinn are thought to have left the mortal world long ago due to a hatred of humans.대부분의 Djinn은 인간에 대한 증오 때문에 오래전부터 이 세상에 남겨졌다고 생각되었다. 아프가니스탄 사람들은 지구상에는 인간보다 훨씬 더 오래된 Djinn이라는 존재가 있음을 믿었다.
The Djinn, according to legend, were made of smokeless fire and could take on any form they wished but could be imprisoned in certain vessels such as a lamp as told in the tale of Alladin.
전설에 따르면 Djinn은 연기없는 불로부터 만들어지고 원하는 어떤 형태로든 변할 수 있으나 알라딘 이야기에서처럼 램프와 같은 특정 용기[매체]에 갇혀져야 한다. 
According to legend the Djinn hated humans and most fled the Earth as humans grew to dominate it.
전설에 따라 Djinn은 인간들을 증오하고 인간들이 그들을 지배하려 하자 다수는 지구를 떠났다.
But a few remained imprisoned in vessels designed to contain them waiting to be freed.
그러나 그들을 가두게 만들어진 형태[그릇]에 갇힌 채 남겨지게 된 몇몇은 자유롭게 되기를 기다린다.
The soldiers on routine patrol for insurgents came upon an ancient statue deep in the desert.
반군들에 대한 일상적 순찰중이던 군인들이 사막 한가운데서 고대의 석상을 만나게 되고
They have no idea what they have found and one of them shoots the statue with his M-16 tearing it apart.
그들이 발견한 것이 무엇인지 아무 생각도 없고 누군가가 M16으로 쏴서 산산조각낸다.
